The Lamp that Tells A Story ~ A Favorite Thing

While shopping in the mid-90's, I ran across this adorable lamp in a home decor store. The writer in me couldn't resist bringing it home.

I love the story it tells with its intricate details.

The lampshade has a story of its own.

Everything about this little lamp makes me smile, but especially the typewriter. I can be predictable like that.

  11. I would have wanted to snatch that up too. I guess it's the "wannabe" writer in me!

My mom still has her typewriter that looks like that one on the lamp. I have wanted to drag it out of her attic, but I can't figure out where to put it if I get her to let me plunder.

  12. What an absolutely fabulous lamp! I can just see a guy hunched over and typing away -- a guy with his sleeves rolled up and a card in his hat that says "Press."
