Celebrating October's Gifts ~ Party Time

Every month, the lovely Vee hosts a "note-card party." If my recollection serves me right (and that can be iffy these days), this will be my first time to  join the party goers. I thought since it's autumn, my favorite season of the year, it would be a perfect time to party.

I'm also linking up with the lovely Susan for Outdoor Wednesday.

These photos were taken by me in the last week, here in the Great Smoky Mountain area, where autumn's colors are starting to burst out here and there. A few of these photos were posted previously.

Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.  George Eliot

  2. You picked a great place to spend a little bit of your fall. Love the images. We usually visit the mountains this time every year for our anniversary. It's probably not going to happen this year, so thanks for giving me a taste of the mountains here.

    1. Isn't she just too cute? I was wondering if I might give something like that a try, once I get back to my neck of the woods.

  14. What lovely fall photos, very pretty, and vibrant colors, and would make lovely notecards, thanks for sharing. The last one really caught my eye, it reminded me of riding on the BlueRidge Parkway, trying to capture the fall foliage while going downhill! ~smile~

    1. Thanks, Sue. The one you refer to (the final image) was taken through the windshield on the Bypass between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Sometimes those caught on the fly turn out to the be best ones. :)
