The Best Part of Waking Up

Dear friends, here it is Monday again and sometimes just a walk through the house in the mornings is enough to remind me that my life is filled to overflowing with goodness. It is seriously the best part of waking up, and that's saying a lot, for I do love my morning coffee.

I seem to be short on words these days, so I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Until next time, dear friends, I hope May is being kind to you. It looks like the rain might be returning to my little woods. Although we've had more than our share the last few weeks, I do not mind. It is often while the rain is falling that I find needed answers. I am hoping it will inspire me to find the words that are locked somewhere inside of me, to be more present in blogland than absent. We shall see.

  1. Ah, she is such a sweetheart. I look forward to one day being a grandma myself. (My sweet girl got married this past October, but they aren't planning children for a couple years.)

I'm on a blog break...not writing at all and reading only a very select few----yours being one of them. I'm always inspired by a visit here.

    Love,
    Patti

  2. I understand the words hiding and agree that the rainy days can bring answers, probably because I tend to slow down and listen more then.

As a grandmother who hasn't seen her almost 4 and 1 1/2 year old granddaughters in several months now, your pictures write a good story. At least I get pictures sent to my phone and there is FaceTime, a miracle we didn't have when I was raising my 4 and my mother had to wait until our film was developed and I sent off a fat envelope of pictures, but nothing is as good as watching them and holding them.

    Enjoy every moment with her!

  5. Such a doll, Dayle - she's such a doll! I know that one of the things I love best is when I babysit and find myself surrounded by stuffed animals, books, and toys. Ah, nothing better.

We have beautiful weather here today. A bit cooler, and some possible showers on Wednesday. But no snow like we had last year!

Writer's block - ugh. Praying for it to pass so your beautiful words will grace Blog Land soon!

    GOD BLESS!

  8. Love these photos and what a baby doll your granddaughter is! Words locked up inside you--that's a good way to say it for sure when we feel wordless. I am praying for those words to flow straight from The Living Water for I know you have many beautiful stories to tell and bless your readers with, and you do it so well!

  9. Lovely pictures, my friend!!!
We finally had a sunny outdoor day today...
I sat on my swing and watched my four children, ages 19 through 6 playing Four Square on our driveway.
    What a blessed moment. : )
    Have a cozy evening!

  11. Oh, Dayle. Loved all the photos. Seeing that little face would be enough to make anyone's day wonderful. So, so adorable. Is she living with you now, and her Mama? There is so much to be thankful for in life, isn't there? Hope your week is totally blessed from dawns until dusks. Susan

    1. Thank you, Susan. Yes, Arabella and her mama live with us for now. Two days of the week I keep Arabella while her mama works. Having her here is one of those unexpected gifts for sure.
