Remembering Ona Jane

Today marks the birthday of my husband's paternal grandmother, Ona Jane. She passed away many years ago, but is pictured here with her husband, and their bouncing baby boy (my husband's father), in 1927. This is one of my favorite pictures from the past.

  1. What a fabulous family photo. Julie at A Vintage Chic has the most amazing family pictures from her and her husband's side of the family that go way, way back. True treasures! Have a super Saturday. :) Tammy

  2. Wow, that's a big baby! Thanks for sharing. It's so nice to remember those who have gone before, because they made a path for us to be here today.

  5. That's a great photo, Dayle. Each person in it is so attractive, too. The woman looks so young, the baby is adorable, and the dad, quite handsome. Do you know I had a godmother whose original name was Ona? It's not a common name at all. Take care. Susan

  6. I wonder if the photographer told them not to smile on purpose? There was no controlling that baby's smile however. Adorable.

  7. Dayle,
I love old family photos also. I have one of my father's mother and father on their wedding day.
I like what Krista said about those who went before making a path for us. So true.
    Happy, smiling baby, too!
